  1. YIELD:    12                                                BUTTERMILK BISCUIT
  2. COOKING TEMP: 400F      PORTION: ONE
  3. COOKING TIME: 20 MIN    COOKING PAN: BAKING PAN

  5. INGREDIENTS             AMOUNTS        PROCEDURES

  7. | Flour                 : 3 cp         1. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and
  8. | Baking powder         : 1 2/3 Tb        salt.
  9. | Sugar                 : 1/2 cp       2. Cut in shortening until mixture is
  10. | Salt                  : 1 ts            the size of peas.
  11. | Shortening            : 1/2 cp       3. Combine buttermilk and water. Add
  12. | Buttermilk            : 3/4 cp          all at once to flour-shortening
  13. | Water                 : 1/2 cp          mix. Mix until mixture forms ball
  14. | Butter                : 3 Tb            in center of bowl. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  15. |.                                     4. Melt butter and place in baking
  16.                                           pan.
  17.                                        5. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch
  18.                                           thickness. Cut into biscuits using
  19.                                           2 inch cutter. Place with sides
  20.                                           touching in pan with melted butter.
